British American Tobacco PLC10 March 2008 BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO p.l.c.NOTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH LISTING RULE 9.6.13 To comply with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the UK Listing Authority Listing Rules weconfirm that Mr John Benedict Stevens, who was appointed a director of BritishAmerican Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Company") with effect from 3rd March 2008, is notcurrently a director of any other publicly quoted company. He resigned as adirector of Trifast plc on 30th June 2004 and of ITC Limited, the Company'slisted Indian Associate, on 21st January 2005. To comply with paragraph 9.6.13(3), we advise that Mr Stevens was a director ofthe following companies:- 1) Akkade Holdings and BAV Directors Limited, both wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company, and both of which applied to be struck from the Register under section 652 of the Companies Act 1985. The strike offs were effected on 27th April 2004. 2) Ciberion Limited, a joint venture company, was subject to members' voluntary liquidation and was dissolved on 21st June 2006. 3) The Confederation of European Community Cigarette Manufacturers Limited, an unlisted associate of the Company, was put into members' voluntary liquidation on 7th December 2006. There are no matters required by paragraphs 9.6.13(2) and (4) to (6) of theListing Rules to be disclosed by him. A.E.
