Home Retail Group Plc30 October 2007 HOME RETAIL GROUP plc ("the Company") DISCLOSURE OF VOTING RIGHTS The Company has received a notification from Legal & General Group Plc ("L&G")advising that Legal & General Assurance (Pensions Management) Limited now holds,as a result of a transaction that took place on 26 October 2007, 52,247,972voting rights in the Company (representing 5.95% of the voting rights of theCompany, of which the whole 5.95% is direct). The threshold that was crossed as a result of the transaction was 6.00% inrespect of the total holding (the previous notification being 6.11%, of whichthe whole 6.11% was direct). The notification was issued pursuant to DTR 5.1.2 and was dated 29 October 2007.
