Home Retail Group Plc20 April 2007 HOME RETAIL GROUP plc ("the Company") DISCLOSURE OF VOTING RIGHTS The Company has received a notification from Aviva plc and its subsidiaries("Aviva") advising that Aviva now holds, as a result of a transaction that tookplace on 18 April 2007, 51,866,357 voting rights in the Company (representing5.91% of the voting rights of the Company). The threshold that was crossed orreached was a change from 4% to 5% at Direct Interest level. The notification was issued pursuant to DTR 5.1.2 and was dated 19 April 2007.
