Home Retail Group Plc12 November 2007 HOME RETAIL GROUP plc ("the Company") DISCLOSURE OF VOTING RIGHTS The Company has received a notification from Citibank N.A. advising thatStandard Life Investments Limited now holds, as a result of a transaction thattook place on 15 September 2007, 34,819,282 voting rights in the Company(representing 3.968% of the voting rights in the Company, of which 3.640% isdirect and 0.328% indirect). The threshold that was crossed as a result of the transaction was 4.00% inrespect of the total holding (the previous notification being 4.994%, of which3.346% was direct and 1.648% indirect) The notification was issued pursuant to DTR 5.1.2 and was dated 9 November 2007.
