Disclosure of interests in shares

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc ("the Company") received notification on 24 July 2008 that with effect from 23 July 2008, Schroders plc has a material indirect interest in 15,086,638 ordinary shares of 30p each in the Company, being approximately 4.99% of the issued share capital.

The voting rights of these shares are held through Schroder Investment Management Limited (14,990,228), Schroder & Co. Limited (87,098) and Schroders (CI) Limited (9,312).
