DISCLOSURE OF ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES IN OLD MUTUAL 

Old Mutual received a notification of disclosure from Absa Capital Securities (Pty) Ltd on 07 April 2026 advising that it has acquired a beneficial interest in the securities of Old Mutual, such that the total of all beneficial interests held by Absa Capital Securities (Pty) Ltd (on behalf of their underlying clients) is now 5.56% of the issued ordinary share capital of Old Mutual. 

This disclosure is in terms of section 122 of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008 ("Companies Act"), as amended and Regulation 121 of the Companies Regulations, 2011 and paragraph 6.54 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements. 

The requisite notice in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act has been filed with the Takeover Regulation Panel.

The board of directors of Old Mutual accepts responsibility for the information contained in this announcement and confirms that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, such information accurately reflects the information contained in the TRP 121.1 form received by Old Mutual from Absa Capital Securities (Pty) Ltd and that this announcement does not omit anything likely to affect the importance of the information contained in this announcement.
