National Grid PLC12 February 2007 12 February 2007 National Grid plc (NG) Interests Notified by the Trustee of the National Grid plc Group Employee ShareTrust (Notification of Directors' Technical Interests, Pursuant to Section 324 (2) of the Companies Act 1985) NG received a notification on Friday 9 February 2007 from Towers Perrin SharePlan Services (Guernsey) Limited, as Trustee of the National Grid plc GroupEmployee Share Trust (the 'Trust'), operated in conjunction with National GridShare Award Plan 2004, Performance Share Plan, Share Matching Plan and DeferredShare Plan (the 'Plan'). Following the purchase of 100,000 Ordinary shares on 9February, at a market price of 792.8266p per share for future releases under thePlan, Executive Directors of NG (Steve Holliday, Steve Lucas, Edward Astle, NickWinser and Mark Fairbairn) are deemed to have a technical interest in the newbalance of 318,995 NG Ordinary shares held in Trust. The B Shares held by theTrust remain unchanged. (Note: For Companies Act purposes, the Executive Directors of NG are deemed tohave a technical interest in all shares held in the Trust, together with allparticipating employees. The interest ceases when shares are transferred toparticipants by the release of shares from the Trust under the Share Award Planor under another employees' share plan.)
