Home Retail Group Plc02 March 2007 HOME RETAIL GROUP plc ("the Company") DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS The Company has today been advised by Yorkshire Building Society ("YBS") thatYBS, as trustee of the Home Retail Group UK Approved All-Employee Plan ("thePlan"), now holds 1,425,557 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company onbehalf of the Plan. As announced on 22 February, the holding at that date was 1,426,243 ordinaryshares. Directors of the Company are potential beneficiaries of the Plan and accordinglyany changes in the shareholding by the Plan are deemed to change their interestsin the ordinary share capital of the Company. However, no director or persondischarging managerial responsibility exercised any options and no shares werereleased to them. The balances of shares in respect of their personal intereststherefore remain unchanged.
