DIRECTOR'S SHARE PURCHASE
Melrose Resources plc (LSE: MRS) ("the Company") announces that, on 16 January 2009, it received notification of the following changes in a Director's shareholding as a result of the purchase of shares in the Company, further details of which are set out below.

The shares were acquired at £1.93 per ordinary share by Skye Investments Limited.
