Wetherspoon (JD) PLC18 June 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JD WETHERSPOON PLC Director's responsibilities Jim Clarke, Finance Director, has informed the Board of JD Wetherspoon plc ("JDWetherspoon" or "the Company") of his intention to leave the Company. He willcontinue to work at JD Wetherspoon until October 2007. The Board will undertakea thorough process to identify a suitable successor. Tim Martin, chairman of JD Wetherspoon, said: "It has been a pleasure to have had Jim working with us. He has made asignificant contribution to the development of the business and he leaves JDWetherspoon on a strong financial footing. I wish him well in his future career."
