Future PLC10 July 2006 10th July 2006 FUTURE PLC DIRECTOR'S INTERESTS IN SHARES Future plc (the "Company"), the international special interest media group,announces it received notification on 7 July 2006 from Abacus Corporate TrusteeLimited, the Trustee of its Employee Benefit Trust (The Future Network plc 1999Employee Benefit Trust) that it had, on 7 July 2006, purchased 1,806,000ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (at a gross average price of 43.5p pershare), representing 0.55% of the issued share capital of the Company. Following these transactions, the Employee Benefit Trust owns 2,551,341 sharesrepresenting 0.78% of the issued share capital of the Company. Stevie Spring asChief Executive Officer and John Bowman as Group Finance Director, along withother employees, have a technical interest in those shares by virtue of thembeing members of a class of beneficiary. On 7 July 2006, the Company also received notification from the Trustee thatJohn Bowman had, on 7 July 2006, acquired a beneficial interest in 300,000shares in the Company as a result of the grant by the Employee Benefit Trust ofan exceptional restricted share award over that number of shares in the Company.The award will vest in three equal instalments on 31 December 2006, 31 December2007 and 31 December 2008 subject to John Bowman remaining in employment withthe Company at the date on which vesting occurs.
