African Minerals Limited (AIM:AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant iron ore interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that, further to its announcement of 23 June 2010 regarding the granting and exercise of certain share options and the vesting of certain common shares of $0.01 each ("Common Shares") under the Employee Share Scheme, Mr Alan Watling, the Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, yesterday sold 948,485 Common Shares at a price of 350 pence per Common Share.
Following the dealing, Mr Watling retains 896,970 options over Common Shares and remains interested in 2,500,000 unvested Common Shares under the Company's Employee Share Scheme which remain subject to performance criteria.
