Charlton Athletic PLC09 January 2006 CHARLTON ATHLETIC PLC 9 January 2006 DEALINGS BY DIRECTORS Charlton Athletic plc (the "Company") announces that it was notified on Friday 6January that the following directors purchased ordinary shares of 50 pence ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 29 pence per Ordinary Share on Thursday 5January: R.A. Murray 38,000; R.C. Whitehand 16,600; D.G. Chappell 16,400; D.C.Sumners 8,100; and G.C.B. Franklin 6,100. The Company was also notified on thesame day that R.A. Murray had purchased a further 17,379 Ordinary Shares onFriday 6 January at 29 pence per Ordinary Share.
