01 April 2010 Northern Petroleum Plc ("Northern" or "the Company") Director's Dealing

Northern was informed on 01 April 2010 of the transfer of 450,000 ordinary shares ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company by Mr Derek Musgrove, Managing Director, on 01 April 2010 to his wife Mrs A Musgrove for nil consideration.

As a result of this transfer, Mr Musgrove's beneficial holding in the Company remains unchanged at 1,037,260 Ordinary Shares, representing 1.3% of the Company's total voting rights.
