DIRECTORS' CHANGE OF DUTIES AND DIRECTORATE CHANGE

Shaftesbury PLC (the "Company"), a Real Estate Investment Trust investing in London's West End, is pleased to confirm that, as previously announced on 25 May 2011, Brian Bickell has now become Chief Executive and Jonathan Lane has now become Deputy Chairman. Both changes were effective from 1 October 2011.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Ward as Finance Director. He will join the Company on 9 January 2012.

Christopher joins the Company after nine years with Redevco as Finance Director for the UK and Nordic countries. Prior to this he spent three years at Asda Property Holdings PLC, then a listed real estate company, where he was Finance Director. Christopher qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked from 1990 to 1998.

Commenting on the new appointment Brian Bickell, Chief Executive said:
