Home Retail Group Plc05 January 2007 HOME RETAIL GROUP plc ("the Company") DIRECTOR/PDMR SHAREHOLDINGS The Company has received a notification in respect of transactions in itsordinary shares on behalf of the following: a) Richard Ashton (a director). On 3 January 2007, Mr Ashton exercised options in respect of 2,595 ordinaryshares of 10 pence each in the Company. These options were granted under theformer GUS plc SAYE share option scheme on 5 July 2002. b) Sara Weller (a person discharging managerial responsibility) On 3 January 2007, Ms Weller exercised options in respect of 590 ordinary sharesof 10 pence each in the Company. These options were granted under the former GUSplc SAYE share option scheme on 23 June 2005. On 4 January 2007, Ms Weller sold these shares on the London Stock Exchange at aprice of £4.1478 per share. The notification of the above transactions was received by the Company on 5January 2007 and is now made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R.
