Shaftesbury PLC ("the Company") announces that on 8 July 2011, the following Directors were granted options to acquire shares under the Company's Sharesave Scheme as follows:

Options were granted at £4.29 per share representing a 20% discount to the average mid market closing price during the five day period ending 16 June 2011. Each Director has entered into a 5 year savings contract at £250 per month. Options are exerciseable during a six month period commencing 1 August 2016.
