NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

On 25 November 2008, the Company granted an option over British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") to the person discharging managerial responsibilities listed below (the "Participant") under the British American Tobacco Sharesave Scheme (the "Scheme"), at an option price of £13.60 per Share.
