On 14 July 2008, 3i Group plc (the "Company") was notified that on 14 July 2008 Mr P E Yea, a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities, dealt in the ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ("Shares") as follows:
(i) he transferred 19,923 Shares into his Personal Pension Plan. This transfer was effected by means of a sale of 19,923 Shares held by a nominee on behalf of Mr Yea, at a price of 823.5p per Share, and a purchase of 19,923 Shares on Mr Yea's behalf by his Personal Pension Plan, at a price of 824p per Share; and
(ii) he sold an additional 60,831 Shares held by a nominee on his behalf, at a price of 823.5p per Share.
The above transactions all took place on the London Stock Exchange.
