FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - UK ONLY NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTION OF DIRECTOR/PDMR MIAMI (August 2, 2006) - On August 1, 2006, Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) authorized a grant of 80,000 options (the "Options") topurchase common stock of Carnival Corporation (the "Shares") and 40,000restricted Shares (the "Restricted Shares") to Robert H. Dickinson, Presidentand Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Cruise Lines and a member of CarnivalCorporation & plc's boards of directors, pursuant to the Carnival Corporation2002 Stock Plan and the terms of a Long-Term Executive Incentive Agreementbetween Dickinson and Carnival Corporation.The Options become exercisable on a pro-rata basis over a five-year periodbeginning on the first anniversary of the date of grant. The exercise price ofUS$38.46 per Share is based on the average of the high and low sales prices ofone Share on August 1, 2006 on the New York Stock Exchange.
