This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with Disclosure Rules 3.1.4R(1)(a).

On 12 January 2011, Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC (LSE:BRW) received notification that:

Matthew Butcher, a PDMR, has today exercised options totalling 4,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 145p each pursuant to the Company's Approved Share Option Scheme December 2005 grant.

His resultant holding in Ordinary Shares in the Company is now 66,482 ordinary shares (of which 56,313 are nil paid), representing approximately 0.0288% of the total issued share capital of the Company and the total number of shares over which options are held by him is 81,204.
