Friends Provident plc announces that Sir Adrian Montague, a director of the Company, has purchased 276 shares on 28 May 2008 at 118.58 pence per share under a dividend re-investment plan in respect of the final dividend for the year ended 31 December 2007, which was paid on 27 May 2008. His total interests as at 9 June 2008 are 6,557 shares.
In addition, the following directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities acquired shares on 27 May 2008 under the Friends Provident dividend re-investment plan as set out in the table below:
