DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS
The Company has been informed that Mr T J Bowdler, Chief Executive, exercised options over 12,136 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in the Company under the Restricted Share Scheme for Tim Bowdler on 19 May 2008 at a total cost of £1. Mr Bowdler will pay the tax and national insurance arising from this exercise directly to the company.
As a result of the exercise, Mr S R Paterson, Mr D Cammiade, Mr P R Cooper and Mr M A Vickers, potential beneficiaries under the Johnston Press plc Employee Share Trust cease to have an interest in the 12,136 Ordinary Shares. The total number of shares in which the above named are now interested in is as follows:
