Dorothy Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Drax Group plc ("Drax" or the "Company") has notified the Company that she has sold Drax shares registered in her own name and acquired the same number of Drax shares into her Self Invested Personal Pension.

The class of share subject to both transactions was Drax Group plc ordinary shares of 11 16/29 pence each.

The sale and purchase both took place on 9 March 2010.

The number of shares sold was 5,000 at 375.2825 pence per share and the number of shares bought into Dorothy Thompson's HL Vantage SIPP account was 5,000 at 375.983 pence per share.
