Notification of Transaction by Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

In accordance with DTR 3.1.4R, we hereby advise that we have today been notified that on 6 July 2012, John Connolly, Chairman of AMEC plc, acquired 348 shares in AMEC plc at a price of 1031.49 pence per share. Mr Connolly elected to receive these shares in lieu of the final dividend paid to shareholders on 2 July 2012.

Following the above transaction, Mr Connolly now holds 35,538 shares in AMEC plc, which represents 0.01% of the of the voting rights of the Company.
