De La Rue PLC16 January 2007 DE LA RUE PLC - NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' INTERESTS De La Rue Employee Share Ownership Trust De La Rue plc (the "Company") announces that it received notification on 15January 2007 of the following transactions by Bachmann Trust Company Limited astrustee of the De La Rue Employee Share Ownership Trust (the "Trust") inordinary Shares of 27 7/9 pence each ("Ordinary Shares"). The transactions were made on behalf of beneficiaries of theCompany's executive share options scheme (not any director or other persondischarging managerial responsibilities). Following the above transaction the following executive directors, Mr L M Quinn,Chief Executive and Mr S A King, Group Finance Director, have an interest in thebalance held by the Trust of 1,876,032 Ordinary Shares (1.17% of the Company'sissued share capital) as potential beneficiaries of the Trust. De La Rue Qualifying Employee Share Ownership The Company was also notified on 16 January 2007, that the De La Rue QualifyingEmployee Share Ownership (the "QUEST") on 16 January 2007 transferred 1,917Ordinary Shares of 27 7/9p each in the Company pursuant to the exercise ofoptions under the De La Rue Sharesave Scheme. The number of De La Rue plc sharesnow held by the QUEST is 181,442 0.112% of the Company's issued share capital.
