HMV Group PLC03 April 2006 HMV Group plc (the 'Company') Notification of Transactions of Director On 31 March 2006 the Company was notified by the Trustees of the HMV Group plcShare Incentive Plan ("SIP") that on 30 March 2006 they had released 5,658 HMVGroup plc Ordinary shares from the UK Trust to Mr Brian McLaughlin, anon-executive director of the Company. These shares are partnership andmatching shares acquired by Mr McLaughlin whilst he was an employee of theCompany. As participants in the SIP, Mr Alan Giles, Mr Neil Bright and Mr Steve Knott,being executive directors of the Company, are deemed to have a beneficialinterest in the shares held by the Trustees.
