British American Tobacco PLC14 March 2007 DIRECTOR/PDMR SHAREHOLDING The independent trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trustnotified the Company on 14 March 2007 that it had between 13 March 2007 and 14March 2007 released: a) 16,691 British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the"Shares") to a participant in the British American Tobacco Long Term IncentivePlan; and b) 29,667 British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the"Shares") to satisfy the exercise of options under the Company's share optionscheme. Following these transactions, the independent trustee of the British AmericanTobacco Group Employee Trust holds a total of 19,054,584 Shares.
