WYG announces that Yorkshire Building Society Trustee acquired on 18 August 2008, 13,029 ordinary shares in the company for the purpose of the WYG Share Incentive Plan at a price of 259.50p per share. These shares will be used to satisfy employees' contributions to the Plan deducted from their July pay. The following directors, as contributors to the plan, have acquired the following interest in the shares:
