Notification of a share transaction by a Director and Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR")

On 31 July 2009, Paul Chavasse, a director and PDMR, exercised options over 8,000 Rathbone Brothers Plc Ordinary Shares of 5p at £4.15 granted under the Rathbone Employee Share Option Scheme 2000. The market value at exercise was £7.315 being the closing mid-market price on 30 July 2009. The shares allotted were registered in the name of Rathbone Nominees Limited. 

His holding is now 49,179 shares (0.114% of the issued share capital).
