Quintain Estates & Development PLC05 June 2006 Quintain Estates and Development PLC 05 June 2005 Purchase of Ordinary Shares The independent Trustee of the Quintain Estates and Development PLC EmployeeBenefit Trust ('the Trustee') notified the Company on 2 June 2006 that it had,on 2 June 2006, purchased a total of 100,000 shares of 25p each in the Companyat a market price of £5.9397 per share. Following this transaction, the Trustee holds a total of 600,000 ordinaryshares. These shares will be held by the Trustees against the awards made to directorsin September 2003 and July 2005 under the Executive Directors' Performance SharePlan, of which Adrian Wyatt, Nicholas Shattock and Rebecca Worthington arepotential beneficiaries and are therefore treated as having an interest.
