Cable & Wireless PLC14 June 2007 Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company") The Company has been notified that the Trustee of Cable and Wireless plcEmployee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") has undertaken the followingdisposal of ordinary shares ("shares") in the Company: • 25,214 shares on 30 May 2007 at a price of £1.856 per share; • 23,278 shares on 31 May 2007 at a price of £1.97 per share; • 4,860 shares on 5 June 2007 at a price of £1.99 per share; and • 8,413 shares on 11 June 2007 at a price of £1.997 per share. Following the disposals 35,095,881 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust. George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directorsof Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class ofbeneficiaries under the Trust, and Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, intheir capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficialinterest in these Ordinary Shares.
