Notification of transactions of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR) or Connected Persons

Cable & Wireless Communications Plc ("the Company") has today, 11 June 2014, been advised that Computershare Trustees (Jersey) Limited, trustee of The Cable & Wireless Communications Share Ownership Trust (formerly the Cable and Wireless Employee Share Ownership Trust) ("the Trust") has undertaken the following transaction in the ordinary shares of the Company: 

2,111,057 ordinary shares in the Company were released to Nick Cooper, a Director, for nil consideration, on 6 June 2014 in accordance with the rules of the Company's Incentive Plan 2010 upon the satisfaction of performance conditions attaching to a Performance Share Award.

Following this transaction, Nick Cooper and his connected persons' total shareholding in the Company is 3,488,670 ordinary shares.

This disclosure relates to a transaction notified in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a).
