On 4 July 2011, the award granted to Mr Mason on 14 November 2007 under the Company's US Long-term Incentive Plan over 2,000,000 Tesco PLC Ordinary Shares (the "Award"), and the associated additional Ordinary Shares relating to dividend equivalents added to the Award since that date, lapsed following Mr Mason's decision to surrender this award. No compensation was paid for surrendering the Award.
