Notification of transactions of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR) or Connected Persons

Cable & Wireless Communications Plc ("the Company") was advised today on 17 June 2014 that Computershare Trustees (Jersey) Limited, trustee of The Cable & Wireless Communications Share Ownership Trust (formerly the Cable and Wireless Employee Share Ownership Trust) ("the Trust") has undertaken the following transaction in the ordinary shares of the Company: 

On 17 June 2014, in order to meet UK income tax and national insurance liabilities, the Trust sold 1,039,905 of the 2,111,057 ordinary shares released to Nick Cooper, a Director, on the maturity of a Performance Share Award announced to the market on 11 June 2014. The sale was at a price of 51.5169 pence per share.

Subsequent to the sale of these shares, the Company was notified by Nick Cooper that, on 17 June 2014, he transferred 1,071,152 ordinary shares to his wife, at nil value.

Following these transactions, Nick Cooper and his connected persons' total shareholding in the Company is 2,558,646 ordinary shares.

This disclosure relates to a transaction notified in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a).
