Treasury Shares and notification of interests of directors/persons dischargingmanagerial responsibility and connected persons pursuant to DR 3.1.4 R(1)(a)and DR 3.1.4 R(1)(b)2 November 2006Friends Provident plc announces the transfer of 133,282 treasury shares fromthe Treasury Shares Account to participants of the Friends Provident plcShareSave Scheme and Executive Share Option Scheme on 31 October 2006 and 2November 2006.Of the 133,282 shares, P W Moore, a director of the Company, acquired andimmediately disposed of 8,499 shares following maturity of the FriendsProvident plc 2003 ShareSave Scheme.
