NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company was notified on 14 August 2009 that on 14 August 2009 Mr J Rembiszewski, a person discharging managerial responsibilities, sold 50,000 British American Tobacco p.l.c. shares ("the Shares") at a price of 1911.7 pence per Share.
Following this transaction, Mr Rembiszewski has a total beneficial and family interest in 109,395 Shares (including 49,360 Deferred Shares).
