 The Company announces that it received a notification on 18 September 2009 from the Trustees of The British Land Share Ownership Plan (the 'Trust') in respect of releases from the Fund Managers Performance Plan ("FMPP") and the Matching Share Plan ("MSP") to Executive Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities of the Company ('PDMR').

FMPP Vesting

On 18 September 2009 the Trust released 207,130 ordinary 25p shares of the Company to participants in the Company's Fund Managers' Performance Plan, pursuant to awards made on 14 July 2006 and 14 August 2008 as shown below:

Sale of shares

The British Land Company PLC announces that it received notification on 18 September 2009 of the following transaction by a director in the Company's ordinary shares of 25p.

Graham Roberts, on 18 September, sold 10,000 shares at a price of 506 pence per share. 

All sales took place in the United Kingdom.
