Kier Group PLC05 January 2007 Kier Group plc announces that on 2nd January 2007 Mr Ian Michael Lawson wasallotted 590 ordinary shares in the Company, following an exercise on that dayof options under the Kier Group Sharesave Scheme. Following this transaction, Mr Lawson's total beneficial interest in KierGroup plc is 6,913 shares, representing 0.019% of the current issued sharecapital. The total number of ordinary shares of 1p in issue as at the date of this noticeis 36,299,940 shares, with each share carrying the right to one vote. The totalnumber of voting rights in the Company is therefore 36,299,940. There are no shares held in Treasury.
