TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS AND PDMRS

DISCLOSURE PURSUANT TO DISCLOSURE AND TRANSPARENCY RULE 3.1.4R(1)(a)

Mr Ian Marchant, CEO, has today sold 12,062 ordinary shares of SSE plc at £14.63162 per share. A further 3,500 ordinary shares have been sold by Mrs Elizabeth Helen Marchant (connected person) also at £14.63162 per share. Following these transactions, Mr Marchant has a beneficial interest in 222,412 shares.

Mr and Mrs Marchant are UK resident for tax purposes and these disposals have been made, in the current tax year, to utilise their capital gains tax annual exemptions.
