Notification of transactions of directors and connected persons
The Issuer announces that Northumbrian Water Share Scheme Trustees Limited, the trustee of the Issuer's Long Term Incentive Plan (the "Plan"), has today, 9 December 2008, transferred ordinary 10 pence shares to directors of the Issuer at nil cost, pursuant to the rules of the Plan. The transfer of shares is pursuant to a conditional award of shares made on 9 December 2005.
John Cuthbert, Managing Director, acquired 22,544 shares under the Plan, representing 0.004% of the Issuer's issued share capital. These shares have been transferred to Mrs L E Cuthbert. Mr Cuthbert's beneficial and family interests in the Issuer now total 188,221 ordinary 10 pence shares, representing 0.036% of the Issuer's issued share capital.
Chris Green, Finance Director, acquired 15,029 shares under the Plan, representing 0.003% of the Issuer's issued share capital: 15,000 of these shares have been transferred to Mr Green's children and the balance of 29 shares has been transferred to Mrs G F Green. Mr Green's beneficial and family interests in the Issuer now total 127,679 ordinary 10 pence shares, representing 0.025% of the Issuer's issued share capital.
This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R.
