Notification of Transactions of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities or Connected Persons

On 7 October 2010, Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") was informed of the following transfer of ordinary Shares of 50p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company:

Mr A J McNaughton (Director), 31,291 Ordinary Shares to his spouse, Mrs N McNaughton.

As a consequence of this transfer, the total number of Ordinary Shares held by Mr McNaughton and any persons connected with him within the meaning of Section 252 of the Companies Act 2006 remains 91,253 (representing 0.013% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital).
