Greene King PLC19 July 2005 Directors' shareholdings Greene King plc announces that, on 18 July 2005, 50,000 shares in the companywere acquired by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of theGreene King Employee Share Trust. As a result of the acquisition, Rooney Anand,Mark Angela, David Elliott and Michael Shallow, who are beneficiaries of thetrust, have acquired an interest in the 50,000 shares in the company. Inaddition, on the same day the trustees transferred 42,100 shares to employees tosatisfy options exercised by employees under the Greene King Executive ShareOption Scheme 1994. The total number of shares owned by the Greene King EmployeeShare Trust is therefore now 381,307.
