Umeco plc - Notification of changes in Directors & PDMRs interests

Umeco plc announces the following changes to the interests of Directors & PDMRs in 25 pence ordinary shares, which result from:
- the maturity of deferred share awards made under the Umeco Bonus Plan in 2005 and a subsequent sale of these shares - Messrs Snowdon and Moss; - awards of deferred shares made under the Umeco Bonus Plan - Messrs Snowdon, Robertson and Moss; and - a sale of 100,000 shares by Brian McGowan.
All of these transactions took place on 18 June 2008 at a price of 580.0 pence per share.

Under the terms of deferred share awards, the director/PDMR becomes the legal and beneficial owner of the shares but on terms that they must, in normal circumstances, be retained for a period of three years and may, in certain circumstances, be forfeited for no payment if the employment of the director/PDMR ends within that period.
