Centamin Egypt Limited12 December 2006 Centamin Egypt Limited ("Centamin" or "the Company") Director's Shareholding and Issue of Equity The Company announces that, following the exercise of options issued under theEmployee Share Option Plan 2002, 115,000 ordinary shares have been issued andallotted today at an exercise price of A$0.3549 per share to Dr Thomas GeeElder, a director of the Company. Following this exercise, Dr Elder's holding in the Company is 250,000 fully paidordinary shares, representing 0.04 percent of the issued share capital of theCompany, and 500,000 unlisted options. Application has been made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to tradingon AIM. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinaryshares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commenceon 19 December 2006.
