The Company has today received notification of the following transactions in its Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each ("ordinary shares") by persons discharging managerial responsibility.
Release of shares under the Home Retail Group Performance Share Plan
In accordance with the terms of the Home Retail Group Performance Share Plan and following completion of the three-year performance period, awards made in May 2007 vested on 15 March 2010. The extent to which performance conditions were satisfied as at the vesting date was 52%. Ordinary shares were consequently released on 15 March 2010 as follows:

The sale of shares took place on the London Stock Exchange on 15 March 2010, at a price of 275.34 pence per share.
Notification of each of the above transactions is now made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R.
