Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company was notified on 30th March 2007 that the following disposals of Ordinary Shares had been undertaken by the Trustees of Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") but not notified to the Company:
* 5 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.2575 per share on 18th August 2006; * 3,089 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.27 per share on 12th September 2006; and * 81,819 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.2975 per share on 20th September 2006.
Following these corrections, as at 30th March 2007 36,792,665 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust. George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust, and Towers Perrin Share Plan Services (GSY) Limited, in their capacity as Trustees of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.
No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.
