In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.2 Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 23 June 2010 that, Tessa Bamford, Non-Executive Director, acquired 10,000 ordinary shares (0.001% of the Company's issued share capital) in the Company at a price of £1.09 per share, in London, on 23 June 2010.

Following the above purchase, Tessa Bamford holds 26,500 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company representing 0.002% of the Company's issued share capital.

This notification is made in accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.4.
