Greene King plc announces that on 8 July the following executive directors or persons discharging managerial responsiilities acquired the following numbers of ordinary shares in the market at the price of 507.96p per share.

Simon Longbottom 11,238

Euan Venters 9,833

Jonathan Webster 11,706

The shares have been acquired in accordance with a Deferred Bonus Scheme. The shares will be forfeited in the event that the relevant individual leaves the group, other than as a good leaver, before 8 July 2012.

The total interest of these individuals in the share capital of the company is now as set out below:
