British American Tobacco PLC05 April 2007 DIRECTOR/PDMR SHAREHOLDING The independent trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trustnotified the Company on 5 April 2007 that on 4 April 2007 it had released 26,013British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") to satisfythe exercise of options under the Company's share option scheme. Following this transaction, the independent trustee of the British AmericanTobacco Group Employee Trust holds a total of 16,016,066 Shares.
